The reversible wood cutting board made of Canadian maple is a kitchen essential.
Clean your board before each use and before cutting different ingredients to avoid cross-contamination. Immediately after each use, wipe down the board with a sponge and hot soapy water. Wipe off excess water with a clean towel and lean the board on a countertop to allow even drying. To remove minor stains, simply sprinkle table salt on the discolored area an rub with a lemon wedge. For tougher stains, use an abrasive antibacterial cleaner and scouring pad, then rinse well. After each thorough cleaning, oiling the board with mineral oil is suggested. Apply with a paper towel and spread evenly until the oil is absorbed. Mineral oil is recommended because cooking oils and other fats may turn rancid.
